Dr Shurr is a Registered Chiropractor in the UK and Hong Kong. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989, receiving the Student American Chiropractic Association Outstanding Senior Award and gaining both his National and California State Board certificates the same year.

Dr Shurr has served as the Cox® Disc Decompression Technique Instructor for Britain and Europe recognized by the Postgraduate Faculty of the National University of Health Sciences, Lombard Illinois. He has lectured in the USA, UK, Europe and Hong Kong.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors (UK), he has served as Regional Clinic Tutor, Continuing Professional Tutor and Clinic Trainer for the North West, Mersey and North Wales Faculty.
He has lectured in the UK on a wide range of clinical subjects, and participated in clinic based research integrating chiropractic care into hospital and general practice resulting in contractual services with the NHS, business, industry, education and insurance purchasers.
He is a long-standing member of the British Chiropractic Association and served on the Inter-professional Relations Committee. From 2005 to 2009 he served as Public Relations Chairman for the Hong Kong Chiropractors’ Association and more recently Education Chairman for the China Hong Kong Macao Chiropractic Association.
Dr Shurr and his wife Jacqui co-founded The Good Rock Foundation, a charity for orphaned and abandoned children in China (www.goodrock.org.uk) which operated from 1997 to 2017 when it was successfully turned over to the local team. They moved to Hong Kong with their three children in 2004 to facilitate the work of Good Rock. In 2011 they returned to the UK for their children’s tertiary education. Dr Shurr is Director of the UK clinic and continues to provide clinical services and educational lectures as Associate Chiropractor with Dr Matty Wong in Hong Kong when required.
Dr Shurr enjoys cycling, rock-climbing, travel and caravanning in the North West UK with his Border Terrier Charlie!
